30^th Informal Meeting on Mass Spectrometry

30^th Informal Meeting on Mass Spectrometry, April 29 – May 3, 2012, belongs to conference series originally established by Pietro Traldi and Károly Vékey and their co-workers a long time ago and has represented a friendly informal Gordon type meeting. Traditionally, NO registration fee is charged to promote a large student audience. This year, it is our pleasure to welcome the participants in Olomouc and at Palacký University, the second oldest university in the Czech Republic. We would like to share the friendly atmosphere for informal exchange of knowledge and experience, for meeting both the experts and students in the broad field of mass spectrometry. Especially, we appreciate active participation of young colleagues delivering oral presentations. Similarly, poster session will represent very important part of the conference. Official conference language is English.

The new building of Faculty of Science, Palacký University, will offer you nice and technically well equipped facilities for your results presentation but also informal discussions on faculty terrace with a nice view over the historical city center. According to a legend, Olomouc, the royal city and seat of an archbishop, was founded by Gaius Julius Caesar. Although his foundation cannot be scientifically supported, there are multiple evidences of historical importance of the city. You can enjoy nice palaces and churches of different architectural styles, admirable collections of the archiepiscopal museum including its fabulous treasure, the series of baroque fountains, as well as the modern one and the Holy Trinity Column which is on UNESCO heritage list.

Many restaurants, cafeterias and bars will allow you to relax after exciting scientific program or walks through the city and to continue the lively discussions with your friends and colleagues.
